Product: Adiponectin Recombinant, Globular Form (Human)
Molecular Weight: 19 kDa
This vial contains 100 mg of protein.
Supplied: The sterile filtered solution was lyophilized from 20mM Tris, 20 mM NaCl, pH 8.0
Tag: 6 x His Tag on N-Terminal
Purity: >95% by SDS-Page analysis
Solubility and Reconstitution:
The lyophilized adiponectin (human) should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 100 µg/ml. Allow to set at least 30 minutes at 4-8˚C, mix well.
Storage: The lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for a few weeks but it is best stored desiccated at -20˚C to -70˚C. Reconstituted Adiponectin can be stored at 4˚C for one week or in working aliquots at -20˚C to
-70˚C for long term storage.
AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLE.

Adiponectin is very important adipokine involved in the control of fat metabolism and
Insulin sensitivity, with direct anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory
activities. Stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in the liver and the skeletal
muscle, enhancing glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion. Antagonizes α-TNF
by negatively regulating its expression in various tissues such as liver and
macrophages, and also by counteracting its effects. Inhibits endothelial NF-kappa-B
signaling through a c-AMP-dependent pathway. May play a role in cell growth,
angiogenesis and tissue remodeling by binding and sequestering various factors with
distinct binding affinities, depending on the type of complex, LMW, MMW or HMW. Precautions:
For In vitro research Use Only. Not for use in or on humans of animals or for diagnostics.
