In their seminal discovery, Bostrom et al used a form of Irisin that is fused to the Fc domain of human IgG in testing Irisin’s biological activity.  This fusion protein in principle renders stability of the protein in vitro and in vivo without significant loss of activity.  Similarly, this product is human/mouse Irisin (aa 1 to 143 of FNDC5) fused to the N-terminus of Fc domain of human IgG1.  After purification by protein A chromatography, a dimeric protein of approximately 100-120kDa is produced.
